Continuing education opportunities for electricians.
- These courses are open to members of IBEW Local 340, travelers working locally and NECA members.
- Classes will be at the Training Center or via Zoom (or similar).
- Registration closes 1 week prior to the class starting dates shown.
- You must provide a valid email address in order for registration to be completed.

This is a self-paced course, with multiple practice quizzes of various number of questions. It is based on the current State Exam 2020 NEC code book.

This is a free online course. No course deposit is required. You will receive an email from HSI to enroll in the course. After completing the course, provide the TrainingCenter office with your completion certificate for entry onto your transcript.

EVCS-17/20
(Hybrid: Online & In-Person) This is an online course. We will send you the web info upon enrollment. The pre-test & certification testing will be done in person. Registration closes one month prior to EVCS in-person portion. Priority seating will be given to members who do not currently hold a certification for this course.

Note: Classes are not held on the 1st Wednesday of each month to support attendance at the Union meeting.
*Pending exam courses are offered to help prepare to take the Local 340 “Inside Wireman’s exam”. (Enrollment is open to all, but priority will be given to those with a pending exam.)
**Prerequisite courses are required to be completed prior to signing up for these classes
Lab Attire: Full Length pants, no shorts; No Open-toed shoes/crocs. Basic Hand tools for the training Task at hand.
AutoCad and Welding classes are available through American River College and Shasta College. The JATC Trust will reimburse the cost for tuition and actual book fees (not to exceed $300) for completing (C or better) the class. The member must submit receipts for tuition and books. There will be a total annual reimbursement cap limit for any combination of members set at $1,500.
